He is a pioneer in arthroscopy and sports injuries and was the first orthopaedic surgeon in Ahmedabad to start exclusive arthroscopy, joint preservation and sports medicine practice of knee, shoulder, elbow, hip and ankle joints. Dr Shah is also a consultant to Gujarat Cricket Association, Asian and Swimming Federation of India and a committee member at International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) and Indian Arthroscopy Society (IAS).
In his 30 years of experience, he has been actively involved in on-field and definitive treatment of various sporting injuries in cricket, football, tennis, swimming, etc.
